Sigh... I was supposed to go diving this weekend with Tom but I'd already promised Estella that I would go to the Sepang DJ Thirt Final thing with her two weeks ago. I felt so bad that I cancelled my trip with Tom. I do want to go diving, but then diving at Pulau Sembilan? The water's murky. But then if I just want to go there to clock my dives the murkiness should not matter then. *sigh* I'm being pulled apart here. Diving or raving? Which one? The rave thing has Roger Sanchez plus Estella's getting me in for free and free booze too. The dive is... diving! I love diving. Maybe Estella is right, I should just save up my money for the Perhentian dive in July.
I told Tom I was having my period.
I know! For shame Sharon! God, I was blushing when the penny dropped and he exclaimed dryly, "Why, you have your period isit?" I was like Omigawd... how embarassing is this? And I was on the phone to him and my face was HOT.
*squirm* I'm not totally lying, OK?! It's due... I just don't know when coz it's late and irregular these days. I just don't want to be eaten by sharks while diving! Nah, that doesn't happen in reality la. Maybe 1 in a zillion or something. Yes, you can certainly smell the smoke now, can't you?
It's mere semantics. I may not have my period NOW but I might in the next few days. So there. That's my little white lie.
Anyway, I really need to get away this weekend, or else I'll go just crazy. The pressure is getting to me and I'm gonna blow. I wonder what type am I? The type that goes loco and sprays a M-16 around, or the type to just stick c-4 all over and let it blow to kingdom come? I have no idea... hah... I'm probably one that just keeps quiet and let people pile on more shit on her. Damn. I've got to do something about this.

Reality f*cking bites!!!
Bloody freakin' hell! Wahhhht a shit load of ass-full crap! Argh! I'm just so pissed off! It was surreal the way shocking and surprising information hits you. One came in a casual conversation, and the other through a simple BTW...
Boss: Sharon, what are these newspapers?
Me: Oh they are those that I've not had a chance to read yet.
Boss: I see... can you move them by today?
Me: Okay, sure...
Boss: We need to make some space for *BEEEEP*, for her to sit here.
Me: Sure, no problem.
In my mind, I had this big word that starts with "F" in caps booming out of the darkness when she said that last bit and my inner demon shrieking in protest like a banshee.
Bloody hell, I cannot believe she is sitting next to me! I'll just have to put on more opera to drown out her loud and grating voice.
I mean after our comflict, I've tried to be civil to her as I knew I would have to work with her every day and see her everyday. But I never thought I would have to see so much of her or so close!
It's gonna be so annoying the next few months.
The other surprising news... pales in comparison to this whopper... plus I'm not incline to divulge the details just in case it too comes back and bites me in the ass.

Sepet
I love Sepet! I watched it last night and my god, I love it for the unsubtlety of it all! I love the fact that it's such a Malaysian movie, that it is not a Malay, Chinese, Indian movie but it's just a Malaysian movie! We should all be proud of Yasmin Ahmad. She's amazing. I love the fact that it sheds light onto taboo subjects, that it allows for a glimpse into a Malaysian life. My god, something we can ca,, Malaysian without adding all those race tag ons. Wow. It feels great to have something so true to us. At last, I feel like we have something to shout about. World, this is what Malaysia is all about. We are not Chinese, Malays, Singaporeans or Indians or Lain-lain, we are Malaysians and don't you forget it! *GRIN*
Yes, and the part where Orked's mom and aunt talk about her getting 5 A's and getting a scholarship and Jason getting 7 A's with no offer in sight. That was good.
It's about time someone addressed the blatant unfairness that the Government has foisted on us non-Bumiputeras. We are Malaysians but we are treated like second-class citizens. We study hard and we get good grades and yet we find it hard to get into local universities? I had school friends who failed a few subjects in their SPM and yet they were offered scholarships and they are now doctors!!! And that is why we don't ever go to government hospitals!
Why is it that an outsider say an Indonesian can come in here, do all sorts of bad things, marry a Malay here and he's in and treated like the Prince of the Land??? All just because he is Muslim that's what. It doesn't matter that he was not born on this land as all of us are. If they want to talk about Bumiputeras (Prince of the Land) and the right afforded to those who are bumiputeras then non-muslims should be allowed such privileges too as we have been here longer than half of the malays here! I say down with this bullshit Bumiputeras status, down with the government's plan to push lazy people onto a pedestal they clearly have no right to and down with this the discounts that all bumiputeras get when buying house or land! It is just not fair. Why are we non-muslims paying through our nose for a false citizenship? That is why we have a brain-drain problem here. Non-Malays pay exorbitant prices for education overseas because our own government doesn't see fit to grant them with scholarships and help when they need it. Why should they come back here and serve the community and government that abandoned them when they needed help? We cannot build a nation that is lopsided and now it's so lopsided that I'm surprised that the heavier side hasn't toppled the entire balance beam and throw us all into hell. Coz we are all too polite that's why. Coz we are all afraid to rock the boat. Coz we are more like Indonesia than we like to think that's why. The corrupt officials and the makan-duit enforcers that we have. Pfftt. All of it is crap. Doesn't matter than we have the Petronas Twin Towers, that we have KLIA and the Sepang Circuit, all shiny wax covering a rotten apple.
I hope that this film can open a lot of prejudiced eyes and maybe one day, all of us can truly be proud to call ourselves Malaysian. At this moment, I'm glad Sepet was made and has triumphed in the media. What else can this amazing film do???

Hair Follicle Flavoured Maggie Mee Goreng
I was having dinner with two colleagues at a mamak stall that I've never been to near the ofc today, for reasons that will be justified later on, when one of my colleague pointed out a strand of what I can only hope is human hair in my maggie mee goreng. Funny thing was that he didn't say anything, he just pointed. It wasn't that long and neither was it short - definitely belonged to a girl and that girl wasn't me. My hair is way longer than that and my hair is not layered. So I don't think it's mine. Gross. I didn't want to appear too sissy to my colleagues so I continued eating my maggie mee goreng flavoured with hair folicles. So I squeezed out my lime on where the strand rested, hoping that the acidity of the lime will kill all hair related germs. I took but a few more bites when he alerted me again that there was another strand of hair in my dinner! And this time it was short. ARGH! What the hell?! Where are all these hair coming from? I really don't think it was me as my hair is long and my hair-dropping rate is not that high!! If it were, then I'd be bald by now seeing that it's been 5 hours since dinner! Both of them were teasing me that those strands were mine and that they should have not told me. Typical illogical male logic. Blech. One of them even suggested that I would not have known if it were all mixed in! Yeah sure, I won't notice that there is someone's DNA flossing my teeth!
My colleague is right about one thing though, I'm never going back to that mamak.

Pictures of Kim & Ben's wedding
Pictures of Kim and Ben's wedding.
These are very nice pictures and I miss all those green / brown of the Aussie landscape... *sigh* and I love Kim's wedding dress. Kim looks wonderful, long hair on that girl just turns her into a goddess. And on her wedding day, she looks radiant and Ben is a great accessory. Kidding! Both of them looks great.

Life is short, all the more for a dog
Patches' ladyfriend got run over by a car last week. I feel heartbroken when my mom told me how heartbroken Patches was. He used to share all his meals with her and one day she just stopped coming. He ate half and left the other half for her. He waited by his bowl and he barked over the fence calling her. He slept by his bowl the whole night. But she never came.
Next morning, the roadside sweeper came to my neighbour's gate and told them that there is a small white dog's body a little further down the main road. She was knocked down and died alone. We do not know if she died instantly or if she suffered. Such a small dog. I feel so sad.
I remember the last time I saw her during CNY, she had already accepted my touch . She used to jumped in between the fence and over to our side to be with Patches. Some mornings, I even found her curled up next to Patches. My neighbours don't tie her up, nor do they cage her. She was free to go wherever she wanted and she didn't have a collar. I don't know why. It was so adorable to see her hop onto the flower pots in order to get high enough to jump over or in between the fence separating my house from my neighbours.
My heart ache for Patches. He lost a friend.

Wanna feel omnipotent?
Just found a very amazingly fun site. Do you sometimes feel like you want to stab your pen through a very despicable person's heart but you just can't do it coz face it, you're gonna go to jail for that. So the next best thing, next to your imagination, is to curse and destroy that person's website! Netdisaster is the newest and funnest frivolity that has been created as an avenue for all that pent up anger and rage. Even if your target doesn't have a website, you can create one, paste their picture on it and watch Net Disaster make a diasater of the page.
Just thought I share this useless but fun site with you all. Have a go and see nuclear bombs, asteroids, floods, etc, make mincemeat out of your foes site!!!
'Kay, gonna go home now. Nite all.

Rediscovering the joys of blogging in a crowd
For the past few months, the Starbuck at Amcorp has been taken over by Macs. I'm at Starbucks now and there are 6 Macs and 2 other branded laptops and today is Sunday. Go Apple! *grin* It's amazing how packed starbucks are these days. And the fact that there are more Apple laptops around, WOW! Good for Apple for totally conquering the world.
I've been wanting to come to starbucks to surf for ages as there is broadband available and just to get out of my hot house. Yes, my very hot house. Eesh.
Anyway, just as an update, I had one hell of a good day yesterday. I started my morning with my usual kickboxing session which totally gave me the glow I've been craving for a week - endorphins la. After that, Estella picked me up from the gym and we went to her place for a swim. It was actually a TJJ thing with Wai Kong teaching whoever is interested to swim. Estella and I were just there for fun. Haha... only one person showed up and she got Wai Kong's undivided attention. Poor guy he had to work while Estella and I got to play and have fun. After a lot of laps, we got tired of just swimming so we started to have ourselves some fun. At first it was the usual holding our breaths under water, diving the furthest, doing the mushrooms and the stars, the underwater handstands and just generally floating around. After that, we took out the sunny ball we bought in Puchong a month back and was using our legs to kick the ball... just generally having a ball acting like kids. Then we were approached by real kids asking if they could plat with us! Haha! There were three of them, 7, 11 and 12 year olds! So we played monkey ball, volleyball, water polo and just kidding and hanging out. Gee... we really got on well with the kids. After that they were hanging all over Estella and me and generally using us as seahorses for their amusement! Two hours later, we were worn out and we left despite their pleas. Kid you not. Then the 7 year old, Keikei, shouted from the pool "Che Che! Are you coming to swim again next Saturday?" To which we answered "Not sure." So she made a date with us, three weeks from now to have a swim date! How adorable is she! ^_^
It was a tiring day for us. So we slept for a few hours and then went for dinner. Estella was all gung ho about going clubbing. She needed to get *ahem* something out of her system. I didn't want to go as I was tired and my hair was all washed and smelling fantastic and I didn't want to get it all smokey and horrible. So I stood fast and suggested she called Jaymee to go with her. The wily minx then put on house and trance in the car. Pretty soon, I wasn't standing so fast anymore on my decision not to go when the music got to me! *sigh* So I said okay when she asked me again.
Went to Atmosphere. Waste of our good RM40. The cover charger, steep as it is, sucks as the + 1 drink was beer only. That or soft drink or mineral water! What the hell?! Then after we went in, there weren't much people and those there were there were teeny boppers! Plus the music wasn't all that good. Just mindless trance and not much or tribal or mixes that I was craving. We quit the place after half and hour and went to BarFly instead.
Yes, it's a sleazy place. But we solved that by befriending the nice DJ. We danced on the podium too but no one dared to bother us as we were with the DJs and the management! =p So we had a blast without the usual octopus hands groping at us. So, now I know. If I want to go to BarFly, I have to stick with the DJ but that too we all have to be careful not to be too friendly.
So here I am today. All relaxed and tired at the same time. I'm glad that I got all that restlessness out of my system and that Estella got whatever she wanted out of her system too. So it was a productive weekend! HAHAHA...Sure, sure as someone out there is gonna sat when he reads this.
Slept until 2pm today. Would have slept more but the house was getting too hot to even lounge like a sleepy lizard. I can't count the times I got up to sprinkle water on my chest to cool down.
*wink* I had great fun this weekend. Did you?
