Phantasmagorical pre-birthday day

Zona gave me one of the nicest birthday present ever. Yesterday, she brought me to Shangri-La Putrajaya Spa centre for a relaxing 90 minutes of having my kinks and knotted muscles kneaded out with soothing strokes of pressure, in a setting so relaxing that that alone eliminated a quarter of my stress. And it has been a stressful past few weeks for me at work with a multitude of projects kicking off at the same time and maintaining my other accounts at the same time.

She picked me up at the Putrajaya train station and from there we entered the land where there are different lamppost for every linear stretch of road. Who ever designed this certainly has money to throw around. But it does serve it's purpose of beautifying the place. I like the Shangri-La Putrajaya's building design because of its unobtrusiveness. It looks like an Aztec pyramid from afar and somehow it blends into hills whereas the other buildings with the Moorish designs seems to split the peacefulness apart, with it sharp turrets and bright tiles that somehow just seem garish but beautiful somehow. Well needless to say, Putrajaya makes it seem like you're not in Malaysia. Nice surroundings, structure and order and not much garbage around (yet). =p

So anyway, we registered ourselves at the hotel spa and we were given lockers, towels, a HUGE robe, slippers and other small but personal items. The spa itself is of a Balinese design but zen-like as well. It had the usual wet & dry sauna, a small jacuzzi, and of course the massage rooms which was more than just a room. They gave us each a room, and to me when I walked in, looked like a small house in the sense of how it was decorated and furnished. A small Balinese house that is, with a cute and short day bed for you to sit while your attendance washes your feet in warm water scented with dried rose petals and drops of essential oil, and then scrub your feet with sea salt and pet 'em dry with soft towels, while you sip your herbal tea... How's that for personal service?

After that, it was 90 mins of bliss when she massage away my worries (and anger - work related), in the aromatherapy-scented air-conditioned room with some relaxing ambient music playing soothingly in the background. I felt myself drifting to sleep almost instantly... that is until she hit a sore spot. That almost made me jump off the bed. But I just clenched my teeth and endured. Then when the release came, it was almost orgasmic. ^_^ I slept after the knots were soothed though not completely gone.

After my 90 minutes was up, I was escorted to the Relaxation Lounge where I was served hot ginger tea with countless apples at hand. So I relaxed and fell asleep there for the time. Strangely Zona didn't turn up. In the end I went to find her and I found her in the jacuzzi area. Apparently she was trying out all the Spa's amenities. ^_^

After that, we changed into our suits and had a totally wonderful and relaxing time by the eternity pool. It felt like being on a vacation, to be able to lounge around the pool, sun-tanning, dipping in the pool to cool off and coming back up to bask under the sun. It was a wonderful day too, the weather was great and the eternity pool overlooked the PM's magnificent office and a part of scenic Putrajaya.

Thank you girl, for such a timely and wonderful birthday present. It was exactly what I needed to unwind and who better to unwind with than with you. *HUGS*

Thank you again for my wonderful birthday present. =)
